Handcrafted no. 1
Kristen Rosser has her hands in most aspects of the textiles world. After studying fibers at Temple University's Tyler School of Arts, she wanted to get involved with the source material of the fabric she loved working with. The U.S. shearing community is a tight-knit group of folks that spans across the country. Kristen travels to farms across the Eastern half of the states and sets up her shearing operation. After a few hours or a few days she packs up and heads to the next flock of sheep. I hopped in her little sedan that was packed full of shearing equipment and camping gear and cruised around a few states to see what a day in the life of a sheep shearer is like.
